Commemorative Medal Of The Return Of The Memel District (Ref. OA045)

On 20th March, 1939, Hitler successfully demanded the return of the Memel District (an area of East Prussia) from Lithuania. A medal was subsequently issued to commemorate this historic event. In all, 31,322 medals were awarded.

Condition: The medal, which is of bronzed zinc, is in excellent - mint condition. It is complete with the original ribbon (red, white and green) and pinback attachment. SOLD
