Kriminalpolizei Grouping - Rare! Rare opportunity to purchase an extensive grouping (spread over 2 hardback folders) to a member of the Kriminalpolizei (KriPo). The subject was born in 1909 and joined the Bavarian police in 1927, serving with the Landespolizei (barracks police). He subsequently sought admission to the Kriminalpolizei and following successful completion of the examination was admitted (HA Sicherheitspolizei). As a member of the KriPo, he worked as a detective in both Berlin and Nuernberg-Furth. He was subsequently transferred to the Grenzpolizei (Border Police) in Metz and was captured following the fall of the Reich in 1945. During the course of his career, the subject of the grouping rose through the ranks, finishing as a Kriminal-Sekretär (equivalent SS rank, Sturmscharfuehrer). Of note, the Kriminal-Sekretar promotion certificate is hand-signed by Anton Dunckern. Dunckern (a friend of Himmler) was Commander of the Security Police and SD in Occupied Lorraine. Upon his capture, Dunckern was personally interrogated by General Patton Also of note are the papers from the offices of the Sicherheitsdienst (Security Police); in addition, his Kriminalpolizei examination pass confirmation from the Leadership School of the Security Police in Berlin. Two of the promotion documents are signed by Dr. Martin, Polizei-Praesident. Waffen-SS Cuffband - BeVo - Germania Scarce Waffen-SS cuffband in BeVo, as worn by members of Standarte "Germania". The cuffband is full length and has been removed from an album (scrapbook), as evidenced by the glue traces to the reverse. In spite of this, it remains a sought-after band, since it is one of the harder BeVo cuffbands to obtain. |

HJ Armband - Technische Vorschule der Luftwaffe HJ armband with label to inside indicating former owner (Heinz Herbst) was a Militaerschueler. Militaerschueler were students (akin to apprentices) at Luftwaffe Technische Vorschule (Luftwaffe Technical Preparatory Schools). This very armband is illustrated on p. 27 of Philip Baker's "Youth Led by Youth" - Volume 2. Condition: Worn example with a few stains, marks and nicks. |

Iron Cross, 2nd Class - Award Document - Operation Barbarossa Formal award document for the Iron Cross, 2nd Class, as presented to a soldier with Infantry Regiment 487, 30 July 1941. The document is signed in ink by the Commander of 267. Infantry Division, Generalleutnant Friedrich-Karl von Wachter. Based on the date of the Urkunde (30 July 1941), it was most probably given for the recipient's involvement in the opening stages of Operation Barbarossa (codename for the invasion of Russia).
