Garde Fusilier Document Grouping incl. Tank Destruction Badge (WWII) (Ref. DOC011)

A most interesting document grouping to a soldier who served in both wars.

During WWI he was a member of Regt. Ersatz Battalion Garde Fusilier and participated in some of the Great War's most tragic battles, incl. the Somme, Arras and Cambriai. During this time he was awarded the Iron Cross, 2nd Class (29/10/16) and the Black Wound Badge.

He subsequently entered military service for a second time during the course of WWII with Grenadier Regiment 1221. He received the following awards; the Spange to the Iron Cross, 2nd Class, and most notably, the Tank Destruction Badge.

The following documents are included in the grouping; WWI Militaerpass, WWI Soldbuch, WWII Wehrpass. Also, his wife's Deutsches Reich Arbeitsbuch. All of the documents are contained in a document pouch (named).

Condition: Generally very good condition (some loose pages in the WWI Soldbuch).

Very complete grouping, further enhanced by the occurence of a rare award entry, that of the Tank Destruction Badge. £240
