HJ Sleeveband - Hamburg (Ref. CCI441)

HJ sleeveband, an example of which is shown in JR Angolia's book "The HJ: Volume 2"; p. 297.

Sleeveband comprises silver embroidery on navy-blue wool base. Elasticated strip bridges ends of sleeveband; as a result of which, the sleeveband is much longer (approx. 56cm) than the length required to encircle a sleeve, raising a question as to its use. The example shown in Angolia bears an HJ RZM label; he also refers the reader to the BDM section of his book. Curiously, this sleeveband was acquired with items from the estate of a former member of the HJ, not BDM.
